On November 3, 2026, District 3A voters will choose the person who represents this subdistrict on the Chicago Board of Education. That representative will take office on January 15, 2027.
CHICAGO IS COMPLETING A MAJOR TRANSITION
Chicago voters elected ten board members in 2024. In the 2026 general election, voters will elect representatives for the remaining subdistrict seats and elect the board president citywide. This is the election in which District 3A voters choose their own subdistrict representative.

WHAT THE BOARD DECIDES
The Chicago Board of Education approves the CPS budget, hires and evaluates district leadership, votes on major contracts and policies, and makes decisions that shape staffing, facilities, programs, and student services. Those votes show up in classrooms and neighborhoods.

CPS approved a $10.11 billion FY2027 budget on July 30, 2026, after increasing assumed state revenue and expenses by $150 million. A budget this large demands more than a final vote. Residents deserve to see the assumptions, school-level effects, and promised results in time to respond.
